Koongo University – feeds, channels and websites

Here in Koongo, we distinguish between several types of online marketplaces and platforms and we believe that the differences are of reasonable importance. Specifically, they differ from the point of view of the integration possibilities with your e-commerce platform.

Selling channels

Selling channels offer usually API service that allows deep integration on the product, order and sometimes also customer level. The integration streamlines all the processes including product publishing, order downloading and custom synchronization.

A typical examples of Selling channels may be Amazon, Fruugo or Aukro e-commerce marketplaces. The latest two are natively supported by Koongo!

Product search websites

Product search websites are mainly aggregators of products that uploaded there retailers or business partners. They usually offer only simple user interface or client account page where the retailers can upload XML or CSV file containing all necessary product data. Order and customer synchronization is usually not possible, although some exceptions exist.

Price comparison websites

Price comparison websites have the same functionality as Product search websites, however they offer built-in “price comparison” feature that allows the customers to sort and list the products based on the product price.

Presently, Koongo covers over 400 product search and price comparison websites from more then 50 countries world-wide! See the complete list.

Feeds

The term Feed refers to the XML or CSV file required by Product search or Price comparison websites and thus sometimes is used as a synonym for these websites.
